Not going to lie. I’m a little obsessed with Myah & Sam’s engagement session. I photographed Myah 2.5 years ago, and it was so great to connect again for her engagement. We wanted a luxurious/fashion look, so I designed their engagement session to bring our vision to life. It also helps that they’re amazing in front of the camera!

Myah looking fierce, and Sam looking like a Disney prince…

We started at a Transylvania University and moved to Belle’s Cocktail House who has a rooftop bar that overlooks downtown Lexington, KY. A beautiful afternoon made for amazing light. Even their lounge area lent a certain high fashion look. Love it!

Of course being downtown, we needed a couple of crosswalk photos. While walking to the light, we noticed a sign that said LEXINGTON. Literally none of us had seen this sign before. Even my sister, who has lived in Lexington much longer than me has never noticed this sign. I fell in love with it and will one day print it and hang it in my future studio! (Putting it out there… I will have a studio!)

I had been wanting to experiment with double exposure for a long time. The following portrait is not photoshopped, but done in-camera. Back in the day of film, you would expose the film twice to get two images in one photograph. Technology makes it to were you can choose a photo on the card and then set up the second image to overlay in-camera. What do you think?

Thanks so much for reading! Tell me your favorites in the comments!!
