Editorial + Artistic Wedding photographer

My Style

Editorial– Think of magazine images. This involves a lot of styling throughout the day. For example, most dressing rooms are cramped with furniture and cluttered with food containers, purses, and other odds and ends. It’s a wedding day, of course this is typical, right? To style your getting ready photos, I declutter and leave things that add to the photos.

Artistic– I love adding pieces to your wedding gallery that can stand alone as a piece of art. I love playing with light and shadow, movement, textures, and composition to give you amazing photographs.

Photojournalistic– Capturing the day without interfering. This is mainly why I have a mix of styles. Although I will compose photos throughout your day (mainly portraits and details), I will also capture the moments as they unfold. Capturing your groom’s reaction when he sees you for the first time. Reading a love note he wrote for you. Your sister helping with the veil. Your mom buttoning your dress. I may place you in the best light first, but then I will step back and let everything happen naturally.

Memories become heirlooms.

WHAT TO EXPECT- Every wedding is beautiful and I want to give you an amazing photography experience. Which is why I offer complimentary engagements sessions with every wedding and always have a second photographer.

Pre-wedding: Once you’ve booked we will go ahead and discuss a general timeline about your day. This will give you an idea of what to expect, how long everything will take, and will make meeting with other vendors a bit easier. About two months prior to your wedding, you will receive two questionnaires. One will be about your formal group portraits. The other is a general questionnaire about your day, including important addresses, phone numbers, vendors, etc. About one month prior to your wedding, we will finalize your timeline.

Wedding Day: Normally, I am with the bride and my second is with the groom for getting ready photos. I allow an hour of prep time before the start of the ceremony. This way I get the ceremony details, and discuss where my second and I will be for the wedding. I also allow for this much time because about 90% of weddings will have something happen that will cause a time delay, and that hour buffer is amazing and lets everyone breathe if running a bit off schedule. At your reception, I will display a sneak peek via a digital photo frame.

Post Wedding: Your photos will be delivered within 14 days of your wedding via online gallery. You can download this gallery straight to your computer. I will also have a USB delivered to your address once you’re back from your honeymoon! If you decide on a wedding collection that includes an album, I will design it and get your approval within one month of your photos being delivered. Once you approve, your album will be ordered and arrive in less than three weeks.

DESTINATION WEDDINGS- I would be absolutely honored to photograph your destination wedding. I would arrive the day before your wedding, and stay until the day after. I do require travel expenses (flight/hotel/car) if needed on top of your collection choice. Please contact me with your destination and wedding date to discuss your photography needs.
